PPF Patch Reverse 0.1b By iCON

What And Why?

This little program has been kicking about in the back of my mind for
some time now, so I got my act together and decided to write this nice
little util to reverse a PPF patch. Its useful if say you had applied
a pal/ntsc patch to say a psx game and then soemone else released a
trainer for the game and you didnt have the original cdrwin bin file.
You can then read back your cd to hd then apply the reversing patch to
make the bin image as it was before you applied the pal/ntsc patch, then
you can apply the new trainer patch to the image.

Requirements

I`ve included the extra vb componets you may need just copy them to your
windows\system directory if not already present.

The extra vb files are:
	COMDLG32.OCX
	MSCOMCTL.OCX

Installation

Just unpack the files anywhere and copy the OCX files to the windows\system
directory.
If you plan to use this to apply patches aswell you need to copy applyppf.exe
to a dos path or your windows\command directory as Im too lazy at the moment
Thats it.

How To Use

Select the ppf file to reverse.
Select the cdrwin bin file that the patch is to be made from.
Hit the reverse button for a default filename or select your own.

You can tick the debug text box if you want to see brief detail of what
parts of the bin file get modified. It names the file as
<ppf patchname>-debug.txt

Then if your lazy like me you can select the applyppf button and the
selected ppf patch will be applied to your bin image.

NOTES

For the moment this util ONLY supports PPF2.0.

I dont know how this util will fare on NT/2000 as I dont ahve them to
test it on, it was written in VB6 on Win98.

Bugs

Probably will be some so use this program at your own risk. Please drop
me comments, bugs and suggestions to

freeport@ic24.net

To Do

Support for PPF1.0, BLK and SIN files.
Who knows?

Greets And Respect

This util is dedicated to all those people who love the intros on the
